Voting & Voter Registration
Questions about voting? How to register?
In Colorado, anyone may register to vote who is 1) a citizen of the United States, 2) 18 years of age by election day, and 3) a resident of Colorado and the precinct where he or she lives 32 days prior to an election. You may register to vote in person at or via a mail-in application from your local county election office.
If you would like to register, download an official voter registration form, print it, fill it in and sign it, then mail or deliver the form with your original signature to your County Clerk or Recorder 29 days before the election. Note that you must provide your original signature. Despite what the voter registration form says, you do not have to have a driver’s license to be eligible to vote – but if you don’t have one you must provide the last four digits of your social security number. You may not fax or email the form.

Specifics for the 2006 General Election:
This year's ballot is the longest it has been in living memory. Absentee Voting:
Here's a link for an absentee ballot request form. Just fill it out and mail it to your County Clerk. The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Oct. 28, and the last day to request one in person is Nov. 3.
Early Voting:
Early voting will take place Oct. 23-28 and Oct.30-Nov.3. Call your County Clerk for the locations and times in your county.
