House Republicans passed the biggest Medicaid cut in American history in the dark of night—ripping health care from 14 million Americans, taking food away from 18 million hungry kids, and slashing more than $700 billion from Medicaid. And that’s not all—their budget is so reckless it would trigger an explosion in the deficit, resulting in an additional $500 billion in cuts to Medicare, all to fund tax breaks for billionaires like Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
We can’t undo what they’ve done in the House—but we can fight back in the Senate and at the ballot box. That’s why we’re pushing forward with our phone banking efforts: to urge Republican Senators to protect life saving care that their constituents rely on, and to build pressure they won’t be able to ignore. If the Senate makes changes to the bill and the House has to vote on it again.
Let’s keep organizing, keep calling, and make sure these senators understand the consequences of this bill.
