Stonewall Cares is a vision of the Stonewall Democratic Club: a mutual aid and assistance effort that extends care beyond politics. We actively engage to meet immediate needs, strengthen our community, and build resilience together.
What is Stonewall Cares?
Stonewall Cares is supported by the Stonewall Democratic Club, which contributes a monthly donation to sustain this work. We are a committee exploring expansion to an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit to broaden our impact and partnerships.
Our Guiding Belief
The political is personal. When we help each other on a personal level, we increase our collective chances for survival. Mutual aid isn’t separate from change—it is how we practice the world we’re fighting for.
How We Show Up
We mobilize volunteers, deliver resources, connect neighbors, and support partner organizations serving people across Los Angeles.
Accountability & Growth
As we explore nonprofit status, we are formalizing transparent processes for donations, partnerships, and reporting.

2025 Focus: Partnering with My Friend’s Place
This year, Stonewall Cares is adopting a project with My Friend’s Place, which provides vital resources to unhoused youth in Los Angeles. Together we aim to support access to essentials, services, and opportunities for stability.
