Program Purpose & Eligibility

The Stonewall Democratic Club Leadership Training Program was designed and developed to empower members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to elevate the impact they are making (or would like to make) on boards, commissions, other government bodies and political organizations, as well as in elected office, by honing their leadership skills and learning more about the political process.

This program is open to both individuals who are interested in taking on roles in such organizations and those who already have these roles. Selected participants meet once a month and benefit from a curriculum that includes the development of leadership styles, public speaking, coalition building, and more.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must either be a current, dues-paying member of the Stonewall Democratic Club or be willing to become a dues-paying member before the commencement of the program. Please note that the Stonewall Democratic Club requires that members be registered as Democratic Party voters.
