This month, Stonewall is proud to welcome David Vela, Member of the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Community College District. With higher education under relentless attack from the Trump Administration, David will share how LACCD—the largest community college district in the nation—is fighting back.
From defending student access and academic freedom to pushing for resources that keep our campuses safe and inclusive, David will give us a front-row view of the battles being waged—and won—right here in Los Angeles. He’ll also highlight the proactive steps he’s taking on the Board and how each of us can stand in solidarity with LACCD students, staff, and faculty during these turbulent times.
